The duration of any breastfeeding was similar among mothers aged 25–34 and 35 or older, but lowest among those under the age of 25 (Fig. 12.2.14). For mothers under the age of 25, a smaller percent reported feeding their infant any breast milk at two weeks after birth and the percent declined more rapidly over time.
