All animals reported positive for rabies in Middlesex-London between 2014 and 2018 were bats.
Between 2014 and 2018, the number of animals confirmed with rabies in the Middlesex-London region was low (n=11). All confirmed rabid animals identified in the region were bats.
In Ontario, the number of rabid animals identified increased dramatically in 2016. Since then the number of confirmed rabid animals reported has decreased, but has not returned to pre-2016 levels.
