- In 2006, approximately 33% of the population 15 years of age and older were not actively participating in the labour force. Of those who were participating, nearly 6% were unemployed.
- The labour force participation rate, the employment and unemployment rates were similar for Middlesex-London and Ontario.
- Females are less likely to be in the labour force than males. Of those who are in the labour force, women are more likely to be unemployed than men both in Middlesex-London and Ontario.
